Why do you recommend a minimum of two cameras and two camera men? This allows us to capture your ceremony and reception from multiple angles. We can then cut from one camera to the other during the editing process. We can smoothly transition from wide shots to close up shots to medium shots without having to cut out portions of your wedding day.

Why do you offer a one camera package? We realize that weddings can be expensive. For those couples who wish to have basic video coverage of their day, the one camera package is available.

How do I reserve a wedding date and when are the payments due? After deciding to book our services, you will complete an information sheet, and a contract. A signed contract along with a $100.00 non-refundable deposit is required. Three months before your wedding, we require a check for 50% of the package price. At time of delivery of your wedding DVD, the balanced is required.

How long will it take before I receive my wedding DVD? We normally take 8 to 12 weeks to deliver your video. The summer and fall in San Diego are very busy. We do our very best to deliver your video in a timely manner, but quality is our highest priority, and we will not deliver your video until we are 100% satisfied with the final production.

What is the Photo Shoot Coverage? During the time your photographer is taking your pictures, one of our camera men will follow along and film the live action. We then add a few of your favorite songs and edit that coverage into a five to eight minute video vignette. We also will suggest some video shots that will make exciting and beautiful edited video.

Why would I want a Picture Video Montage? We are experts at putting together a video montage using your growing up pictures and your favorite music. Using 60 to 70 of your pictures, (20 or so of the bride, 20 or so of the groom, and 20 or so of both of you), we edit them into an entertaining video for you to show at your reception. I am sure you have seen documentaries where the pictures seem to come alive, due to their movement on the screen. That is how we produce our montages, along with smooth transitions between the pictures. It is great entertainment for your guests.

Do you supply the equipment to show the Picture Video Montage? We have a state of the art projector and large screen we rent at a nominal charge of $100.00 This includes setup and all required equipment.

Your demo DVD seems to have the picture printed right on the DVD, how is that possible? - With today's technology, there is no longer any reason to put paper labels on the DVD’s. We buy top quality ink jet printable DVD’s. Using one of the digital pictures we take during your picture taking session, we print directly onto the DVD. No worry that in a few years the label will peel off, and render the DVD useless.

General Wedding FAQ's

Our first dance song is over 4 minutes, do you think that is to long for a first dance? After filming many first dances, we have found that the couples who have their DJ or band taper the song down after 2 minutes works the best. But as with every detail of your wedding, it is really up to you. Also, if slow dancing is not your strong side, consider taking a few dance lessons so you can have some choreographed dance moves. The guests will love it, plus it makes for great video.

What is your opinion on those one-time use cameras on the tables for the guests to use during the reception? Well since you asked..., keep in mind that your have your professional photographer, and of course A&R Video Productions filming during the reception. But if you like candid shots of your guests, great, have the cameras available. Just be sure to have your DJ encourage the guests to take pictures of the other guests at the tables, that is what you most likely would like to see, not pictures taken of your major events like the first dance, cake cutting and toasts.
